Indiana University’s Turkish Flagship Program is dedicated to providing students the opportunity to attain professional language proficiency through classroom learning, extracurricular activities, and overseas study, including a year in Azerbaijan. Its mission is to produce graduates who use their knowledge of Turkish language and culture to thrive in careers as global professionals.
Students can major in any of IU’s 180 majors and more than 330 degree programs, including business, music, the sciences and the humanities, while completing the requirements to achieve Superior level Turkish language skills and certification from The Language Flagship.
The Turkish Flagship is the only Language Flagship program dedicated to Turkish in the United States. It is a part of The Language Flagship, which leads the nation in designing and implementing a new model for advanced language learning.
