The Turkish Flagship students participated in a cultural night focused on Backgammon. Backgammon, or tavla, is an extremely popular game all over the world, particularly in Turkey. It’s common in both Turkey and Azerbaijan to see people of all ages playing backgammon in coffeehouses or on the streets. As the flagship students soon learned, no cultural education of Turkey is complete without having played at least a few rounds of backgammon.
